its been a long time since i updated this so ill add info now and later on this evening.

i was happy with my platforms that i made but there just seemed to be something missing so i have added adging slabs to the platforms
Image

on my test runs the freight trains didnt like going over my multiple
point section so i have changed it from this
Image

to this
Image

over christmas i built a couple of shelving units to store my trains
on in sections, i used some old wordrobes that left at the house.

Image

christmas i got a deisel depot which has had some light detailing
with brick walls and i also got a engine depot which i made up from
a card kit.

a shot from west end of my layout.

the bridge over the top is a work in progress as its going to become my footbridge, pics later of that.

I got to see this layout for the first time over christmas and as Alan knows it's not my sort of thing. But...WOW...not only the size of it, (it actual fills the room) but the amouint and attention to detail that he has put into it. Well done mate.

bit more of an update,

these are my platforms with all the edging fitted
Image

a mate of mine commented that there was a lack of people on my layout
so he kindly gave me 80 people so put on my platforms.
Image

then i had to glue them onto some clear perspex
Image

then i cut them out and put them on my platforms, i think im going to
need about another 200 or so more for the rest of the station.
Image
Image

in the collection of people there were seated people, these are going to have there
legs cut off repainted and glued onto the driver cabins.

im on the platform which = customer services, seeing trains off etc.... and also have to do one afternoon a week in the booking office selling tickets/enquirys
i had to go to london for the day in novenber for tests/exams before being offered an interview
passed them and got asked for an interview
got offered the posistion
got a medical on tuesday and start 4th febuary which i beleive is 2 weeks in london for an induction then training on the platform then another week in london for booking office training
im really looking forward to it and happy to be out of the building trade
but if its not for me or i dont fit in or i fail medical etc.. then at least i have building trade to fall back on
Small one's are more juicy
