Was in a game shop on sunday looking at this(GT) and a new ps3 but i still have to say as good as these are ( and they are very good don't get me wrong on this) you are only driving these games with the info your eyes are giving you which will always fall short of the true driving experiance/simulation imo . I have Nomex so flame away

Me too, quite enjoying it, there are a couple of annoyances, but the AI seems quite good, they block well without being tarts.
Wheel + all the cheatingness off, makes for a fun race, but one mistake will see you come last.
You're pit guys play it very safe, keeping you in for ages if someones coming down the lane, best to adopt weird strategies to avoid coming in at same time as others.
All in all, its really good, and gives a real good idea of the tracks and speeds possible through corners.

"Does the mullet make the man?"
Have you tried driving in heavy rain yet? MY GOD what an arse!
Every time I start pushing to get a banzai lap together I end up either dropping it at the first or last corners!
It's fustrating with the few issues in the penalty system too- balls-up your lap anywhere in the final third and it invalidates the next too (as if you'll get some sort of benefit from facing backwards 3 or 4 corners from the end)???
However, hook it all together and it's really satisfying!

Trying to drive with as little 'cheats' on as poss- I think I've only got ABS and Traction (on medium) activated. The first time I put it in I turned the lot off, but it's a completely different feel to Forza and the like, and catching the slide is tricky without a proper 'feel' like what you're probably getting with a Force Feedback wheel. I haven't played it much yet, but intend to turn them all off once I get into it proper.
TBH, I find with a pad that the speed at which the steering turns seems a little slow, giving a sluggish sensation which leads to either spinning out or over-correcting. Can't find any option to change it though?
