Anyone up to much over winter?

Post by pedGSR »

Seems too quiet on here nowadays. Just thought I would see what everyone is up to over the winter? Any winter projects? Anything? I have now sold both the mr2 and the v8 so now have just the evo left to play with but nowhere to do it anymore. :nopity:

Not been on here or anywhere much lately. Been busy trying to find a job over winter. We did collect a new garage for Alan and the race car which is now erected and nice and solid.

in November when we had those high windings my garage roof started to collapse in, thankfully the race car was not in there
at the time so in December bought a sectional garage off ebay and built it up starting xmas day :sifone:
the garage is up but the floor still needs levelling which will be done when it warms up as the new garage is a lot bigger than the old one.

That'd be interesting to see, a new garage is one of the projects i've got for the new year, as the asbestos one we have is both asbestos and tiny.

-Tested out a new set of snow chains on my Landy' way up in the icy Welsh mountains (awesome grip!!!) followed by a bit off off roading

-Knackered my wrist catching my daughter (who was at the time in freefall due to afore mentioned ice)

-Lifted the frozen car cover off my zed for all of 20 seconds before covering it back up with that same old sinking feeling

-Wrote a new business plan
and then paid off my mortgage

Family holiday next....somewhere warm!!

this is what been working on.
bought the garage just before Christmas and in true stile I got my brother and paul to help putting it up on Christmas day :sifone:

its far from finished, requires painting, lights fitting, electrics and the floor needs levelling.
the garage it 4ft longer and 1 1/2 ft wider than the old one so the gates at the side of the garage had to be adjusted a well.

on the way home with the garage we kind of got a tank slapper and it broke a few of the sections but this was not a problem
as it gave e the perfect opportunity to fit a side door and 3 windows.

garage for the nice little sum of £41
