A couple of people have commented that..... :hurray:

Here's why, life is too short and to fickle to worry about growing old.

1. Christmas 1978, family were downstairs entertaining friends whilst I was upstairs in my parents room watching TV. My parents sent my brother up to check on me and the only thing I remember is him shouting 'Mom Paul's having an Asthma Attack'. I don't even recall how I got to hospital, only coming room in a hospital bed.

2. Crashing my motorbike at 50mph on gravel dropped by a lorry. That was a good one bouncing across tarmac.....

3. Being broadsided by a Vauxhall Carlton (on my next bike) and being trapped under the bike which was wedged under the front of the car

4. Getting drunk with mates at a party and eating a fish cake that turned out to be a nut cake.....Anaphlactic shock.....now that shit sobered my ass up. 2 ltrs of milk whilst waiting for the ambulance.

5. Crashing my Manta GTE and rolling it 6 times and end over end twice then a 20 mtr slide on the roof. Never bought Firestone tyres since, loads of thread and aquaplaned like feck in the wet. My fault as I forgot about there lack of grip in the wet and the car just aquaplaned across the road when i braked at ***mph. Managed to keep it on the black stuff but slammed into a round-a-bout at approx 70mph. :blush5:

6. A minor heart attack after slamming chest first into a gymnastic vaulting horse and bruising my heart.

7. Finally, January 21st 2000. Really bad pains in lower abdomain. Went home from work and went to bed, woke up at 6.30pm unable to stand so decided to go to hospital but didn't want to leave my car in the hospital carpark so phoned for an ambulance.
10pm they're taking me for exploritory surgury.
2am the hospital phones my brother to say i'm out of surgury but am in intensive care.

My appendix burst before they started the op. and I actually stopped breathing and had no pulse for several minutes.

Every organ in my body shut down and i had no sense of taste or smell for a month.

So now I enjoy the sunrise and sunset, i notice the first signs of spring and I make sure that I enjoy life.....with no regretts :)

I am however a boring old fart at work
