Hello every one,

Joined up the other day. Am a mate of Rob S.

Forum looks cool and isnt helping with me trying to resist the urge to get a track car........

Just abit about me, i know this should prob go in the intro forum but hey, ill just stick it here.

I currently own the titanic of the vehicle world..... A 2L Mk3 Mondeo estate, its the Ghia X model so has all the bells and whistles, heated leather, cruise, auto dim mirrors etc etc etc. Ill be the first to admit its not fast in any sense of the word but it suits my needs (two dogs) and is VERY comfy on a run.

In the past ive owned 2 Alfa's and a S14a 200sx along with a few other run of the mill cars (astra diesel, BMW 318 IS coupe etc etc)

Im not overly competant when it comes to mechanics but im not a complete novice. I managed to do a Auto to Manual Conversion on my 200 with abit of help form my Dad!!

Ive recently started gettin into detailing and after having an epic spend up on loads of new goodies am planning on having abit of a word with the mondeo (when the weather gets better)

Just a couple of pics......

bastard. Andy keeps e-mailing me pics or random ST's.......... I will have to see mate, I would like to but only just got this one. Ive called the insurance companie today regarding that bit of damage form the Car park incident so i will get that sorted and then perhaps see about selling and changing up. You never know, Admiral may even write it off and give me a pay out which would save me selling it lol!!

Track cars and this place pretty much go hand in hand. They come and go (the cars and the owners) but typically most of the lads on here like to dabble now and again.

Nothing wrong with having a comfy daily Chris. I roll (literally) around in a 7 series so I like the VIP way of travelling :D

Rob will have warned you that this a dangerous environment for that kind of conjecture and I am probably one of the worst people to talk to on this very subject (Having just bought a kind of fast road/track toy for that kind of amount  ) It's a slippery slope Chris. Buying it and modding it are two different things (you'll know this from your 200) Running one on a track is different kettle of fish again.

It is without doubt the very best waste of money that I know of

Hello and welcome to BP:D.

What a difficult choice you have, Ghia or ST. Both very nice cars and both very different.

Everyone will have their own pinion, but my advice would be to think long and about which path to take. Track your daily drive once then decide the path.

I have tracked my daily drive once and wouldn't do it again.
My mate tracks his daily drive every year and pod twice a year. He also co-owns our track.

This is the last time your head will overule the heart.
Once to start.................The sickness takes over................
