Tips on starting a car!
Had a car stood for around 5 years not started, would there be any big no no's or tips with trying to get is started? If I can get is started i'll start a new project thread!

I would drop the oil out and stick some fresh in, at the very least let it build up some oil pressue so it gets some oil into the head before firing depending what it is whip of the cam pully and squirt some oil over the cams pull of the HT lead and turn over for a bit.

Generally I'd be inclined to use the original oil for the 1st start up assuming it isn't total black sludge,


There's nothing that shouts "Poor Workmanship" more than wrinkles in the Gaffer tape.....
new oil, lubed cams, new fuel. turned over my hand, then just the starter, turn of the key with fuel........................ started :-) oh so sweet!

Eddie sorted two tyre valves out for me so it now can roll about, it had the alloy valve caps on, they'd become part of the valve and snapped off.
