Volvo V70=awesome allrounder
Audi A4
BMW 5 series
Subaru Legacy=juicy to run (according to owners)

I am a good bit older than you but having owned three Volvo estates, I would swear by them. Subject to the model, they can be really fast, comfortable, refined and built like a tank.....good luck!

E34 525 Vanos model.
Cheap as chips parts, wonderful build, great manual boxes and can be fun to wave around.
Or if you're not a badge snob and mileage is nt a concern, a late model Omega plod spec estate. 3.0 Manual will go well enough.....
Agree with Stu on the Volvo's, mine just handled like my living room.

Thanks for the input. Ive had a volvo v70 before and although it was supremely comfy, it didnt really set me on fire if you no what i mean. Im looking at the e34 as you mention rob. Owned 3 of these and would go for another. A 4.0 v8 would be nice :) will have a scour on the net i think. Any more ideas most welcome :)

It is unusual, but if you use your imagination, they don't all drive white Volvo's. some need to sneak around.
