Ben mate, you dont know what the f**k you are talking about !!!!!!murano3 wrote:Hangon - now i've watched the demo's - i'm not at all impressed .. it's looks way to computer generated for my liking ... I actually prefer the how GT4 looks ...
The way the shadow follows the cars around is terrible ... no not impressed in the slightest - I was more impressed with the GT HD demo.
The shadows are amazing and 100 times better than on GT HDs blob, there is a lap of Suzuka with a Re-Amemiya RX7 and you can see the sun having an effect on the car plus shadows !! There are moving people in all the stands and a lot of them are different models rather than the same one. The engine noise and the tyre noise are spot on, if you dont believe me play the vid with the Camaro on with the volume turned up !! The tyre noise on GT is so horrendous it doesnt sound any different than it did when GT1 came out !!!
The lighting on the car is great, the number of cars is great, there is real time damage which affects performance which is great, the car customisation was brilliant plus the physics in Forza 1 were brilliant and the tracks were well designed in that you couldnt bounce off the sides and still be travelling fast !!
I have put countless hours into GT4 and Forza 1 and for me Forza is much more involving and challenging, the AI was brilliant compared to the GT4 'never stray from the racing line and crash into you because they arent aware'.
GT5 wont be out for a long time and I think it is safe to say that Polyphony will definitely be listening to whats a success and what wasnt in Forza and designing accordingly. Therefore when that comes out it should be awesome !!
Forza 2 will be as good if not better than Import Tuner and is a must have !!
I agree with Stu, if you can race and customise real life cars then it will be a gaggle of fun on Xbox Live. Can you imagine racing against myself, Ben, Stu, Dan and Bladey whilst everyone hurling abuse at each other !! That has to be worth the price of the game in itself !!!!
