I am not sure I have Dean but I do have a couple of boxes of ipod bits, samples etc that are kicking around here that I have been meaning to go through.

I have an alpine head unit its a 9855, got it about 2 years ago when connecting an ipod was just starting to take off.

Works an absolute treat and has a slide bar that works in a similar way to the ipod one.
