Film Trailer.........

Post by GTT Dave »

Left Click for Between the Lines Trailer

My brother is an ameteur film maker, and has finished his official trailer for his forthcoming film, Between the Lines.

Set after the allied invasion of Normandy, this short feature follows the story of four British soldiers from the Duke of Cornwall Light Infantry. While on patrol, a German ambush on the British section leaves them disorientated and short of supplies. They have to withdraw from enemy lines and find their way back to their company. With German patrols holding their advance, they are stuck between the lines.

It premieres at cinemas locally February or March (he told me a while back back ive forgotten  ). Im so proud of him. The sheer work and commitment hes put into this right from its conception 18+months ago, is amazing :notworthy: Not bad for an amateur on a budget ;)

Im not sure, i'll ask and let you know :)

He put together some cuts from the film during production to make a 'news reel' style teaser which i think looks almost authentic!!

Left Click

Everything you see here has been shot by him, there has been no stock footage used from other soruces. It is not a movie as such, it's more of a sneek peak as what to expect in th film. The final movie is obviously not graded this way........but i think its very accomplished for what it is.

Nah mate, hes just very interested in WWII history and a friends father is involved in running the local Military Heritage Museum. It all started when they were talking about local WWII soldiers roles and experiences during the war, so he decided it might be interesting to write a script based around that and it just snowballed. Next thing he knows hes being contacted by re-enactors, military vehicle restorers and owners etc, who couldnt do enough to offer their help, services and enthusiasm to make the film possible.

Superb, I noticed one of the Saving Private ryan fake Tigers - it's interesting - re-enactors love being on film :) .... I've done a few mini films or more to the point been in a few - one has been shown on tv a few times - AIPS. The nice detail with your bro's film is the authenticity of the equipment etc. It's funny seeing it in real life colour etc - as that's how you would have looked in the day.
