err actually it was me - but It made me laugh so much I thought i'd post ... Whilst a trundled through mousehold my wee car let out the biggest bang as I upchanged ... in my rearview I saw a lady litterally jump out of her skin and fall to the floor - I also watched as her friends picked her up - still made me chuckle though ...... I could imagine what they were saying ...

Was that just before your engine went
Ben, you're a child inside that beard wearing mans suit aren't you? Pops and bangs are all well and good boys but all a bit juvenile don't you think?
(I'm just bitter because my Golf doesn't do anything except wheeze)

Hmmm! Not impressed I'm afraid. What happened to the responsible approach? No wonder you lot in Norfolk are getting pulled for loud exhausts.
Hopefully the old girl didn't end up with a broken hip as a result of a fall and osteoporosis.
Tut tut! [-X

Just my 2p. Nothing big & clever about scaring an old lady but wasn't intentional so not a hanging offence. I doubt pulling over and apologising would have been taken in the right spirit either unfortunately, although I'd like to think not everyone thinks were a bunch of hooligans just because of the cars we drive...
Cheers,
Alex

:-D Ok - when I mean old - Meant older than me - she was probably about 50 (with great fashion sense) ... she was ok ... her friends were laughing ...
I was only doing about 20mph so they could easily have flagged me down

not surprising the way you drive gerry! :-D
i don't think ben is doing any worse a job of keeping up public relations than most car drivers.
lets face it. most people would class us as chavs too?

Not sure I agree with that Jim. I know people that drive like lunatics in pretty pedestrian cars and people that drive like angels in real muscle cars or circuit prepped animals.
Without dragging this miles away from the original post, conduct is everything in my opinion. I'm sure Ben wasn't driving like a pillock. Not intentionally anyway
