To the Chap in the Blue Scooby Yesterday - Ely

Post by Naughty Magpie »

I will hunt you down and administer punishment with a sharp stick you bloody sod.

Upon taking the Cobra to the BP garage in Ely the car failed on the roundabout & would not restart. Thought it might have run out of juice so tipped in 5L - no change. Meanwhile car upon car are driving past - I'm blocking the RH lane of two joining the roundabout - and car is completely dead to the world.

Suddenly! a rather nice Scooby stops on my left, winds his window down & I think...thank the lord, here's my knight in shining armour....and he says to me in a well spoken voice....

"have you broken down"
"yes I have"
"......oh well"

and drives off.

Mark my words young man - I will find you.

Did make me laugh though! Got sorted in the end after police were called & pushed me off the road to await a towing back from the boyfriend. Engine is possibly scrap depending on the diagnosis tonight but there's a spare one under a tree in the garden (as you do) so should be sorted for Wednesdays meet & two days at Marham.

So if anyone saw me stranded yesterday on the A10 in Ely - you should be ashamed of yourselves you bloody sods. LOL.

It was one of those things you'd just love to say to someone but don't quite have the nerve to. Full marks for daring to say it to a girl armed with a rather large handbag within easy reach! Dicing with death there!

I would always help someone in trouble though, particularly a girl - no matter how "flash" the car is. Yes so the car looks good but yours is worth twice as much! And faster too.
I broke down in the Smart not so long back & it was a minute before someone stopped to give me a push.

Gotta laugh really! It was funny having all the traffic stop for me & being pushed by three police officers off the roundabout - I gave them all a big grin & waved. I need a reliable car!
