God it was cold and it was interesting to see how much it took to put some heat into the AD08's...

More of a cross between a track day and an Ice Skating session...

1. A bit of everything on track

2. We were up against stuff with a tad more power

3. Or better set for the cold weather

4. The afternoon was considerably better

A great day out in all and probably the last in that MR2 as we are looking at a 365BHP MR2 for next year :)

You can't have been pushing that hard.............you had your arm on the door card in the last shot ;)

Nice photos. I love the look of that Mini.

You got any more details of the prospective purchase? I bet 365bhp in an MR2 will be a bit lively.

Fair amount of custom work with a front mount rad.........that TD06 with a 2bar tuning map should be EPIC for track work :)

Keep us posted please

Now the dilemma...

Just spotted a 500bhp on piston heads built by what looks like a full his engine build for 5k, and stunning custom bodykit.

To each his own but a 350hp MR2 is very quick, and I would have thought the right kind of power for a balanced track car (i.e. matching grip to braking to power). Unless the 500hp one has appropriately matched brakes and suspension, you won't lap any faster than the lower powered one and that's before you consider increased running costs of the 'bigger one', increased wear and tear/breakages and whether you can exploit the extra theoretical power. The last point is quite important as I know of loads and loads of people that make their cars more powerful and then can exploit their cars as their own skill is not high enough (me included :) )

Also, the words 'custom bodykit' and 'MR2' in the same post scare the shit out of me ;) Pics or link needed!
