MLR Sprint / Time Attack warm up

Post by RX7 »

Well, I will apologise for the huge number of photos on this thread but I took close to 600 pics and these are after a lot of refining and removing :)

Anyway, Ben picked me up early and we headed off there about 9. The trusty Golf....

After arriving, a quick dash into Tyrells for a bacon sarnie we went up to the new viewing area overlooking the Riches corner of the main track and the sectioned off bit for the sprint stuff (on the 300 area).
A great view across the sprint track and also back over the Snetterton complex

Wandering back to the Sprint entrance area we were greated with a plethora of awesome cars including some very familiar ones

The queue for the sprint practice laps

looks like I was spotted :)

A quick wander round the rest of the cars here before heading back up to the previous area to capture some of the cars out on the practice laps.
Nice R34 GTST

White Evo 5 with proper JDM wheels

The blistering Lateral Performance Scooby, it was incredible !!

The noise of the TVR and how it kept the power down was impressive.
Then onto some shots of familiar faces

Ben then came running over telling me to get my arse into the Snetterton office to get a passenger lap with Gary. Form signed and a few mins wait I found myself strapped into the passenger seat of the infamous Evo 7. I can vaguely remember what happened...speed....brake.....brake.....speed......it was a fduking hoot !!!! Thanks so much for that Gary :) Such an impressive car and driver to match, love the interior
Image
I took the opportunity to then wander round the rest of the complex and take some shots of the Time Attack stuff and things in the car park.
Ross' Evo 10

This is how the highrollers do it....

Super clean Evo 6

A few of the Honda boys were out, a really nice bunch of guys but did nothing to break the baseball cap owning reputation so often associated with them. Some nice cars though like this EK Civic
Image
DC5s.....yep I love them.

Then we spotted some special cars like this Porsche GT3

Ben was particularly pleased as the owner had mounted one of his favourite Gopro cameras in it

Love this 370z

Wandering round the Time Attack Pitlane area was fun, got a few funny looks when taking pics but suppose it goes with the territory when you are holding an SLR :)

VX220s were out in force
