M3 Shed

Saw this car a couple of weeks back, has done 70k and looked a right shed. The wheels have been painted when they should be polished, the front bumper was heavily chipped and cracked on the lower half, and the paintwork was one of the worst i've seen for a long time.

The lower half was literally a matt finish, it had been badly scuffed by years of auto car washes, the rear bumper was also in the same state.

Sadly i dont have any before pictures, as you can see i was pretty busy on it!

Started at 1030am and finished at 630pm.

I used 3m FCP on matching green compounding head, i did try Menz S100 but felt the 3M produced a better 'out the box' finish with less work.

I then went to 80349 Extra Fine on Yellow Waffle pad, which gave it a nice wet look. I ran out of time to use Ultrafina, so applied SRP by hand to finish it and give a bit of protection, i hope at some point to give it the Dodo Juice treatment.

The front bumper was repainted as well, it had been done 5 times before! Massive improvement, one of the most satisfying jobs i have done in recent times.

Love the colour, Carbon Black is much nicer than a plain gloss black for these cars IMO.

Very nice, look to own one some time soon, did you paint the bumper on the same day?

Was my bosses son's car. Nice as they are, they are too firm, and too hardcore for my taste. No doubting their credentials of course!
