sweet looking ride mate a sleeper of a car.
the exclusivity of these is great, there are more DB9's on the road than the ST220

Its strange how i see loads of Mondeo ST's partly because i own one, but even before i noticed them. Seems to vary according to region.

By far the most popular colour and variant is Performance Blue and TDci. I never really saw a silver one before and wasnt that keen, but the price and history i was silly to not get it, even in a few years time it will be worth what i paid, thats the good thing about performance Fords.

I agree, the diesel, although it can be made as quick as the petrol, does not sound as good, have as much charisma or as much fun. I love turbo diesels, but economy was not on my agenda as i use a van for work, this is my fun family car!

Tough looking Mondeo Gareth  stick a couple of small ariels on the rear window and it'll look like an unmarked car :D

Nice drive the ST220.

I remember getting a test drive on this and the Focus St170 when they came out. I was quite impressed.

Update ;)

Best 1/4 mile time 14.7 @ 98mph
Custom JP exhaust system
DS Remap
Modified induction
Front bumper vents
Eibachs
320mm disc and ATE caliper upgrade
Last RR 248bhp/217lb ft, should be a bit more with new exhaust system and airbox mods

Just spent a shedload on it the last 6 months, I managed to kill the gearbox with a combination of the wrong type of oil (foamed up, blew a diff seal, bearings whining and jumping out of 2nd) and too many 1/4 mile runs! Also needed a new clutch/slave assembly. So no more dragstrip action!
