Tan, rather amusingly, said that the R35 looks like Kryton off of Red Dwarf

Nice video and AMS' quality of work just keeps getting better.

To add to that video though, and this does echo the thoughts that Dan and I had at last years Jap Show Finale, the R35 does seem to take a lot of the 'driving' out of the 1/4 mile challenge.
Line up, hit the launch button or whatever and hold the throttle open knowing that the optimum amount of revs will be juggled with the electronically controlled traction

When the lights shout 'go' release the wand or foot brake and whoosh

Fully auto from there on in

How dull is that? I know they are damned quick, but surely there is a lot more to driving than that? If we are spectators in the experience, rather than the controllers of the experience, hasn't driving cars like this bypassed the reason and motivation for what we do?

Glad I haven't got the money for any of this to be a consideration.

I'll stick to being (relatively) skint and driving my simplistic cars, where I'm still involved in the process of making it go, stop and turn.

I don't know - If I had the money, and I mean lottery winning figures, I would certainly have one, but on a budget, never ever in a million years. They are stunning looking - and where I understand what you are saying, I think you'd have to drive one to be able to say it would be dull. :)

No mate, I think that it would epic to drive and own. I think it would be dull as fuck to drag one more than once or twice as you'd know exactly what you'd get every single time with little input/skill from the driver.

The in car from the first section of video looks like he's popping down the shops, and yet he's posted an amazing time.
I agree with the boys, must be amazing to own and drive one of a road with bends and curves, but to go that fast in a straight line.....I'd want more for my $100K after a couple of runs (New underpants for a start)
