M3 Experience

Liz gave me a MSV experience for Crimbo that had to be used by 31st March. With the ice and snow we've had I imagine there could be a backlog but I managed to get mine booked for today.

There were a few options for car type and circuit but as I'm 20 minutes from Bedford Autodrome and didn't expect too much of an experience, I opted for the BA M3.

Timed for 3:00 I arrived at the requested time of 2:30 and once signed in had to sit around for half an hour. There were six driver and I expected we'd be split into a couple of groups and be lucky to get a few of laps driving. The briefing was very good and the guy made, what could have been a very dull lecture, quite entertaining but obviously, basic.

Briefing over and there was time to kill so he gave us a tour of the workshop facility at BA and bloody impressive it was. Even Stu would be hard pushed not to choose something from Dr JP's stable :)

At last it was time to head out to the mini bus that took us to the South Circuit paddock but first, we were driven around the circuit to be shown the lines, braking, turn-in and apices. To finally be presented to our instructor for the afternoon.

Imagine my, pleasant, surprise, when I realised there was a car for each of us. :D

And there they were, 460BHP, stripped out, caged and waiting to go.
