Lotus Take Over @ Snetterton

Just thought i would upload some of the pictures myself and a colleague took from the 2 days Lotus were at the circuit last week.

They were here launching their new Evora Cup Car, which is being developed alongside Jarno Trulli who was there for both days testing the cars with his F1 race engineer.

Despite the constant battle with snow storms for 2 days they managed to get a decent amount of circuit time.

Lotus literally wanted to make the place their own over the duration of their stay with signage being put up, the MSV suite painted green and yellow and huge Lotus logos on buildings.

There was a large display of race prepared cars in the ASBC, Caparo T1000 painted in the Lotus F1 colours, along with the Evora cup car, 2/11 a working Evora chasis display.

Along with the modern car launch they were graced with the presence of Classic Team Lotus's Type 72 which ran on the second day. :D

On the first day i was lucky enough to drive Jarno Trulli around the circuit in the safety car to show him Snetterton as he had never been before, and he kept commenting on how nice it is which is a plus.

Enough of the ranting.. here are some images..

Wow i would have loved to see the 72 run.

Looks like the ties between the Lotus F1 team and Lotus Road Cars are a good deal closer than was originaly reported.

Thought I'd already posted Ooohs and Cooos of appreciation but it seems not.

Must have been a fantastic couple of days. The 72B looks and must have sounded exquisite going round the track. Fantastic pics
