What can i say i was shocked, I got invited to come down and have a look around, and i wasn't disappointed. The place is massive to start with, let along their very latest in tools and equipment. (to give you an idea, if there was a F1 car in the workshop i won't have been surprised) as the work areas were super clean. One of the work shop areas was even up stairs, the cars get there by a massive car lift! Please see a few attached photos, I'm not really meant to post these but hay here goes lol
Just wanted to tell you.

How is this firm connected to the Barnes brothers Matt?

These guys look ultra professional and super slick. I bet there aren't many specialist set ups around like this one. If you had a Mitsi you'd want to go there wouldn't you.

Wow!!

Yes very very impressive. Like Trev says though the rate must be high due to the overheads, but i am sure the work is top notch.

Ahhhhhhhhh
The 'JR' is James Rumsey (He of ADR and MMUK rally support; not to mention a rather special drag race Evo that set all sorts of records)

Cracking facilities and I don't doubt that the staff are top notch but genuinely, if I wanted an EVO tuned or built and I had an open budget, I'd just give Gary carte blanche and let him get on with it. It would save that annoying drive to East Sussex and mean that I'd have an excuse to eat Gary's biscuits.

I'm not really sure Stu. I'll try and find out.
Yes mate Gary is much closer to us.

James/Andy/Rob will be very well acquainted with one another through mutual Santa Pod exploits mate. I dare say that business relationships being what they are, these guys are all helping each other in one way or other.

Nice pics :)

He bought them Stu !!

James now owns Sumo Power !!!

As well as the Mitsubishi rally team, their facilities and workshops ooop north
Every single Mitsi EvoX RS which they use as the base for all the rally cars - 47 cars iirc
The Sumo Power drag car and other items
Andy is still onboard as a consultant
As is Dave Gammon of EVO400 fame - who helped develop James's drag car

Pretty impressive what you can do with real money behind you and the right people on board !! If only Leo Machitsky had been as clued up !!!

:D :D

Ha ha!!

Not sure that Andy would like the way you said 'He bought them!" but then that's probably why you said it ;) I had no idea JR had that sort of cash behind him but then I don't mix in the rarified circles that you do. I knew about Dave working with James but was unaware of the rest.

I take it Kleerfreight is still a separate entity?
