Ive been having a lovely few days at work... if you can call it that.

Yesterday and today we have had Gigawave doing some fuel testing in their GT1 Nismo Nissan Skyline R35 GTR having recently just won its class at the Autosport 1000km at Silverstone this weekend past..

Its been really interesting talking to the guys from Nismo Japan and the usual friendly suspects from Gigawave.

Yesterday was more of a thorough test session aiming to see exactly how far the car will go with certain fuel loads before completely stopping, lapping in "1.04's, with today being more relaxed as the team owner is coming down to drive his Maserati, road going Ascari and some other lovely motors on circuit..

Some pics from this morning..

OOO i like that, there aren't many cars that would make me get rid of the CSL but a GTR is one of them.

Maybe in a year or two.....

I popped up to see the cars (and James of course :) ) and the acoustics/visuals were superb. The Nissan guys had decided not to send the GTR back out which was a real shame but the owner of the other cars; the Maserati, the Ascari and the F40 was keen to get out on the circuit and give passenger rides and the like.

James was chomping at the bit to get a few laps in the F40 but unfortunately Darren Turner (http://www.darrenturner.net/) killed that on the back straight. A tough life when you have to settle for passenger laps in a hard driven Ascari, eh?

I like you and all of us i presume, would have loved to have seen that GTR go round.

That is one of the best looking new GTR's i have seen in livery. Georgeous.

+1 for the job at Snetterton lol.

No jobs at Snett im afraid Nik, will be though once the development kicks off so possibly around 2 years time.. :)

Yeah was fairly gutted that darren broke the F40, it only just last week had new turbos fitted and both of them blew up exiting sear.. :( has been a childhood dream to get in one of those.. although they are coming back in October.

Still, the Ascari was fantastic fun, once you get past the idea that its not a race prepared car so you lose the aero's, the slicks, the suspension and take it for what it is, a road going super car it really is an awesome machine, handles like its on rails and the braking power is second to none :coolgleamA: .... under the bridge at 170 is quite a feeling in a road car..

For those who would want to see the GTR in action on track we've just confirmed that they are coming back on October 6th to do some more testing and deelopement on it. Nearer the time i will confirm its coming and your all welcome by all means to come down and watch it... :hurray:

Just so you all know, (eddy especially) the Nismo worx teams have arrived today to set up for tommorrow with the GTR so by all means pop down and have a look for yourselves..

I cant say when the car will be on circuit as they have the circuit to themselves so could be anytime between 9am and 5pm!
