The range of cars on display ranged from gorgeous Escorts, sublime McLaren F1 LM's, disgusting kit cars that must have been designed by Stevie Wonder and some of the most amazing proper race cars I've seen since Betty

Pics with occasional witty remarks

The cleanest mk2 at the show. A beautiful level of preparation

Old vs New at the Lotus Sport stand. How good does that 211 look in JPS colours

SLR with added tack

Britcar M3 (no turbo

I'd prefer an original

No idea how fast this thing is but the size of the fuel pump suggests it may be quite special

Paint job of the day

RS200 with 1800 miles from new. Needless to say it was like it had been in a timewarp

Got a great weight saving idea from this monster truck. Polycarbonate floor for the BM?

Thorney displayed their e46 M3 (no turbo) and as they're involved with the new CSL cup championship for this year were trying to drum up interest in the series. Frankly, I hope their racing is more successful than their attempt to fit home made spoilers

Nice wing, but shoddily fitted

From one extreme to the other; The fabulous Aston GT2

The whole in the mirror was for air conditioning according to Rob. I kept a straight face as I didn't know if he was taking the piss

'Fresh' from Le Mans.......looked great heavily splattered with French use

More spy work as we had a look around another Britcar e46. Interesting detail around the cage

Nice arches too for plenty of added girth

RS Evo had reworked an Exige to great effect. So much wider than a standard one, I loved the rear engine cover too.

Engine choices are a supercharged V6 as shown or a 2.4 V8

Bright orange GT3 RS becomes matt black whilst you wait. Vehicle wraps featured heavily this year

A good example of just how bad things got this year. Utter tripe

By way of contrast, Duncan Cowpers rather fine Dax was there. I thought he'd flogged this ages ago, but maybe not?

One of my favourite cars full stop, the mighty Sagaris

I think the Mr Man is Mr Bump. Quite apt if it is

Old school

Wibble

De Tomaso

More Techart matt-ness

This silhouette adds fuel to argument that 911's are nothing more than squashed Beetles

Getting closer to this high powered car revealed some 'interesting' touches

Thankfully there we are few more standard Porsche on display. The condition on the whole was frighteningly good

Cerwin were there with a range of modified prestige cars

Probably one of the least desirable Lamborghini's ever created

I would have gotten closer but I was likely to be sick all over it. Glitter painted wheels, naff exhaust vents and a totally aesthetic rear diffuser all lead to Mr Cerwin needing a slap.
A couple of nice touches on an old WR Impreza may make an appearance on Betty some time soon

So there we are.
Overall it was pretty good. No real point in going but nice to seem some great cars, meet some nice people and pay a few quid for the privilege. The Norris Evo looked great, the Gobstopper looked clean and the show totty was of a most varied standard.
Was nice to say hello to Ross, Matt Woods, Andy and Glen etc.
