Fabulous. I can't agree that FWD rocks, but the way the engineers and drivers overcome its inherent limitations is spectacular.

I cannot believe that anyone would say that fag wheel drive is the drivetrain layout of choice, not even the most blinkered blue oval fan ( :wave2: )

These Maxis were truly superb bits of kit and the engineers at Peugeot recaptured some o the magic of the old T16 205 in my opinion.

Come on Christian..........surely the good people of this forum need a more relevant example of why your FWD Escort rocks (any video or dyno evidence within the last 12 months will be great :D )

* Please don't spit in my tea next time I come up ;)

LOL. You're on my case there, aren't you!!

I'm now looking at beefing the gearbox up a bit, hopefully then I won't be so scared of using it. Then you might just see me at Snetterton. The trouble is that as soon as I put anything remotely grippy on it tyre-wise, well grippier than my Eagle F1's, it will probably shat the gearbox again. I've created a monster, like Frankensteins monster.

i have seen one of these around ipswich, it was a normal 306 and he built it himself and it was a really good replica with all the rally graphics. i know the guy used to live in woodbridge.

just dug up a pic of it.
