Interesting new Skyline
I can distincly remember an integra that was transformed into an R34 about 6 or 7 years ago. It was in the states running 500 bhp. The guy threw mega money at it, stood him in at about $80,000.
There was a distinctive line that I wont forget when the interviewer asked "why didn't you just buy a skyline, it would have been a lot less"
The chap replied "I wanted something different"

I happen to think that the project must have taken a great deal of effort, money and imagination. It does seem slightly ill judged, but how sensible is spending twice the amount on mods compared to the purchase price of the car in the first instance?
Many of us bought a car for X and then spent at least X again doing it up or repairing it. Surely it would have been 'better' to spend the money on a 'better' car in the first place? Or is that the point.....some of us don't have the cash initially to buy our dream car, some of us change our minds as time goes on where the project and its direction alters, and some people genuinely do want something different.
At least the car is rear wheel drive....they could have converted something far worse in my opinion.

some people spend 10+ yrs building them
i like the car tbh.
i've seen much worse too.
better than all these bloody 316's looking like M3's!!!
My attitude is I want the best of the best .. I would rather save for longer to get the better car than make do with one that i've got to do up ... but then we all have different priorities, for me it's all about show ... where others it's all about go.
It's like those Bee-R 324 kits ... what's the point !! .. buy an R34 you tight wad. You can now get R34's for 22k .. but then I'm sure it's a dog.
Anyway, watch my project thread, i've decided to build a veyron using a corrado as the doner car
