thats brilliant!! :notworthy:

are there any major differences to a "drift" car as opposed to a "track" car?

i see nice cars for sale and people jumping on the "drift" bandwagon.

i see your handbrake looks stock?

are S13 handbrakes good?

are you gonna do lessons? lol

OK, Ill try and answer all Qs in one hit :D

Dynamix - WTF is an oxymoron ?!?! :? And what you on about trace traces? If you mean you could keep up, then Id hope so! the front wheels are only doing about 40mph at Lydd! ;) SXOC had a sprint/drift day there last year and the drift boys were miles slower LOL :D

Hi Stu! Ive been really bust gettign the car up to EDC spec - cage, fire ext, dash out again etc etc... bit of tidying - oh and fitting a new motor/clutch/manifold/elbow and remap by the 'boy' wonder Gareth! :)
I must try and make the gaunt up to a meet at some point - or maybe I could trek up to your drift practice day and offer some advice :)
I cant say a slippery oval interests me too much now tho ;) That thread got me all excited about havin another crack at the track! :(

Boucherie - THANKS :D

Jungle Jim, Drift cars are the same as track cars. They tend to use a 2 way locking diff, rather than ATB/Helicals for more even power transmitting to the hubs, as opposed to traction. The suspension is set different I run a bit more camber front and rear than you would on a track car.
As you get more power and better you dial out a lot of the neutrality in the car (I run camber of 2.5 F, 1.5 R and zero toe all round atm) - As and (when) I get more powqer, Ill dial out some camber on the rear, add some to the front to make it a bit more 'track' and give me grip. Most people think less grip is good fopr drift, but you need grip to hold angles, otherwise youre backing off all the time - in the vid I need more grip - weird. Im gettign more confident, using more power and losing grip!

:D

I hope that helps a little and makes sense

i have converted the car to use S13 rear brakes inclusding handbrake mech, std S14 (and JDM S13) is a pinch onthe caliper for the handbrake which is SHIT! S13 conversion is on eof the best things I did to the car early last year. It took some gettign used ot tho as it has probably given me doubel the handbrake I had before! :D

Lessons?

Ooooh. Id have to be asked very nicely and supplied with at least one cold beer at the end ;)

I think Dunks earlier comment was because I took the GTR there, crashed and had tyre marks all over the car  Shit happens!

Would be nice to catch up some time. The track will be bone dry for the initial runs. If you want to join Bladey for some demo runs and tuition I'm sure he won't mind...............but if he does, he was down first :thumb:

LOL, youre welcome to him! :o

:D:D:D

The big guy can handle you on his own. He's very good apparently (at handling men, not drifting ;) ) :D:D:D
