From outside the car, but some idea of the speed.

Managed a 16.94sec 30-130mph, which put me mid pack-ish, so happy with the result. (43 cars in total)

Hi Ian,

If you check this below :-

http://www.bigpower.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2105

There are a couple of extra bits, but not much (PF disks and pads for example).

My car was running with cars with around 400bhp, so gauge it from that, I did have a quick look at your car and suspect you'd be a fair bit quick than me, so I'd expect around the 14-15 sec mark. (looking at cars that where there with alot more power).

Have you looked at the MLR??, sorry if I'm treading on bigpower toes here!!, but it's only evo's and a good forum with alot going on.

Cheers,
Gareth.

 What do you expect me to think of that? :)

Well done Gareth, seems like a fair result and certainly a good basis for building on.

hmm

I think it is an unfair comparison due to the length of time that both clubs have been running.

But in our sixth month and we are already:
- filling track days on our own
- having meets with over 100 members turning up
- have such a variety of cars to compare your own to from all different parts of the globe
- learn about and appreciate all different makes and types of car for what they do best and their faults too
- open the normal one-make checklist of mods to those from different makes that can solve similar problems but in new (and possibly better) ways.

The MLR 30-130 day looked great though :thumb: but we are not planning or aspiring to replace one make owners clubs but variety is the spice of life for me and many others - just cos I drive a scooby doesnt mean that Evos, Escorts, Skylines, RX7's, Integra's etc are bad :D

I think there's a place for both types of club, the MLR has it's benefits, and so does big power. I think Big power have done a fantastic job in a short time to raise the amount of interest and membership. The MLR has the specific requirements I need as an owner to answer model specific questions and needs, the 30-130 day was an ideal oppituneity to compare my Evo with other Evo's.

Most people will probably be a member of a number of clubs, usually a club specific for they're car and others like this more for the interest in cars in general.

I don't think Liam was trying to put this club down at all, he was just asking why Ian felt strongly against MLR.

Lets not let this get into a my club is better than your club thing please!!. there's plenty of room for both.

Cheers,
Gareth.
