No I won't laugh - insurance or not - it's still your pride and joy - I know how I'd feel if I'd have stuffed mine out there - it honestly did not look like you were shifting that fast - it just got out of shape after the turn in - any clues as to why?

P.S. Personally I think Dunc should be handing out Special Bravery awards for all those who went out before 1pm (hint)

if its any consolation, a BMW went off there and ended up nose first in the armco on the left hand side
edit: that was last sunday

well...what can i say? mmmwwuuhahahaha!!!
seriously though, i think it looked like too much correction of the back end stepping out?
got the fishtail and i bet you stared at the armco you hit?
after seeing the ammount of spinners, it goes to show how long it can take to stop when out of control!!
don't give up mate, get yourself out there again asap, and maybe some confidence inspiring tuition?
keep us informed of the repairs and the claim process with the track insurance?
*goes off to watch it again*

Dean - gutted for you.
It would have been fine if it wasnt for the tyres on the apex
Dang, it was slippery first thing

Dean, I blame that tire thingy for ambushing you - nice commentary by the way!

First and foremost, I admire the your bottle for posting the link to the video. I know I would have been badly shook up if I'd bumped my pride and joy out there and watching/airing the video would have been my last wish.
I won't try and speculate as to why you lost control, you had a similar movement at the Ring, your famous 85mph save, so just be thankful that what happened at Snetterton didn't happen at the Nurburgring. A

No laughing here, really feel for you mate.
Hope you are back and sorted soon, and at least you had the balls to get out on a damp track and have fun (at least till this happened)
