I quite like Bel Airs,
And if I had to have one then I would rather have this...

And whilst I luuurrve chargers (and i may well add the General Lee rep round the corner from house to the collection one day) I would much much rather have a Camaro anyday.
this is the exact one I was promising myself when we were due to get some money back from last years GTbatlle.....

Unfortunately its now sold, which caused me a great deal of heartache at the time !!!
But there will be one here one day I swear !!

I passed up on a 383 block Hugger orange one with the black nose band a couple of years ago. The front axle ('clip') needed some work and the fueling was a bit suspect. These negatives were from a very honest owner as I wouldn't have known any different. Want to know the worst thing? It sold for less than four grand.

Yes Ben, you're right on that. You generally get what you pay for however, personally, for me, it would have to be a wreck as thats all part of the customing process :-D
At the end of 2007, im considering getting a Chevy Side Step to restore. But thats after the drag car and providing that the other project (you didnt hear that :?: ) is running on time.

I'd love to do the restoration myself,
But I dont know anyone in the UK with those sorts of skills and it would cost and absolute fortune.
heres the site the guy who built the blue one has...
http://www.z069.us/
theres a complete write up with pics of what he did if you click the "1969 Camaro SS" link on the left of the page and go through the pic file. Amazing !!!
Im sure I will find another, they do this sort of stuff quite a bit - all new Corvette running gear into an old 60's classic !!!
Stuart - you're mad by the way, although 383's arent really the same as an SS if you were gonna do this much work it would hardly matter what you used as a base vehilce.
