I did half the day in a drift car and only tried to drift if the road was clear behind me and in front in case i messed it up and spun.

There is no way i could read a sign on the back of a car to see what the car planned to do at the next corner.
Trust me, you could read the signs. They were massive.

Big enough for the marshals to be happy.

As I said, the biggest problem was that people were following way too close and if you had been practising that particular corner all day and wanted to drift it as much as you can, you had to wait for 3 miles until you got there again. Then the same would happen, someone else would be following you too close.

Yes, we got a telling off as someone had complained that we were drifting with people behind us. As soon as we put the signs up on the rear screen we didn't have a problem with people following too close into the corners. The marshals were happy and the idea worked - a result I think you'll find.

The briefing was pretty clear on this and how it should work and I think in the main it did, very well. You'll always get issues with cars not allowing for others on circuits regardless of whether they are drifting, grip driving or alternating between the two.

As long as you have your wits about you, all should be well.
