Team TNT @ Silverstone

Post by pablo »

Another early start leaving at 06.00 for the trip down to Silverstone. The intention was to get to Silverstone for about 07.00 to avoid the usual traffic headache on the approach to the circuit. 20 miles into the journey and what little traffic there was came to a standstill. There had been a serious accident just before Corley services and would appear that the accident was a fatality.

WE arrived at silverstone just before 09.00 which left us just 40 minutes before our track briefing. The infield are of the circuit was busier than i had ever seen it and luckily for us our club stand was far enough away from those kids and their stupid noise boxes.

Unfortunately the chavs and muppets have progressed out on to the track this year :x. In my first session out there were 2 spins before the session was finally red flagged. Session 2 was not much better following 3 spins the session was red flagged after some numpty decided to stuff it big style :x

If you think that was bad wait a minute...........Someone overtook the pace car on the parade lap :o Another numpty span off into the gravel trap on a parade lap.

Session 3 and finally a decent run  Although the start of the session was delayed due to an oil spillage in the previous session.

Some great footage and the car looks to be going very well :D

I think there must be a danger of the 'wrong sort' getting involved with these track events. My comment is nothing to do with car brand, wealth or the like...it is purely the capacity to show respect for others and to act responsibly. I wouldn't trust one of these numpties on a circuit which is why I don't take part in the mega cheap stuff. At least the higher financial entry costs on other events does weed out a few of those that may be less considerate.

Look forward to seeing the Janspeed in action soon guys :thumb:
