Maybe they dynoed it? It was a bit of a burner! Very old engine, down on the little power it was given from factory... :lol:

That engine transplant was always a popular conversion on the Fiat 124/131 - the Lada was just the eastern european low budget version of the 124 - did a fair bit of work on 2x 1800cc versions of the twin cams in my youth - loved them to bits :love:
