Cheers guys,

The car is a project which we have been buying / collecting the parts for for the last three years :o

It's an R33 GTR, the old car 'Ichiban' was an R34 GTR and has found a new owner a few months ago to make way for this car 'Fuujin'

The car was a stock'ish' R33 which we stripped back to bare shell, removed as much weight as possible and have built ourselves using the parts that Sumo sell.

The Airshift gearbox which we have for the car will be put in shortly and we will hit the pod again hopefully before xmas to give it another run out before we tidy her up and make a few changes over the winter.

Andy did that run on a HKS h-pattern dogbox which is why you can see it squirming on the shifts, the airshift SHOULD eliminate that and give us back some time as there is only so fast you can shift on this box.

Engine is a HKS Hi-Deck 2.8 engine, produced by HKS Japan, Scott is right it is running a T51Kai which should produce approx 820bhp max, the shakedowns were done at about 700bhp as you can tell from the speed going over the line.

0-60 time I havent checked through the datalogging yet but as you can see in under 6 seconds we were at 119.32mph.

The car runs Motec ASDL and there are sensors just about everywhere you can fit one so the datalogging is quite comprehensive and should assist the final set up of the suspension etc .

Stats from the run are as follows:-

60ft : 1.384 sec,
330ft : 3.850 sec,
1/8 ET : 5.954 sec,
1/8 MPH : 119.32 mph,
1/4 ET : 9.233 sec,
1/4 MPH : 149.60 mph

All new news on the car can be found here:-

Just cutting up some more video footage, got some awesome in car stuff which gives you an idea of just how much of an animal this thing is going to be when shes running full power (1200/1300bhp fingers crossed)

That is quite simply amazing - 1200 - 1300, how many lbs of torque are you expecting?.

Turbo set up will end up being twins once the car is set up suspension wise etc.

Have a look http://www.exvertimini.com for how its possible, hours worth of fun to be had in Marios gallery.

Yes I know guy at CPL, taught him everything he knows:D
