Yes,AWD is a completly different style.The best way to learn Tara is lots of track days.They will help you get used to the car, learn how it reacts and find its limits,all in a safe environment.Again, its completly different to |FWD and RWD, hope this helps.Just remember, when you would normally lay off in a RWD, lay it on in an AWD :wink:

Experience helps but I would recommend driver training courses or instructor tuition on the days to ensure that you are learning the right stuff. Getting bad driving habits and then re-inforcing them through practice is not a great way to go. Learn a little then apply it and then learn some more etc etc.
