Here is my rant and im still p1ssed about it as well.

Once upon a time there was the RX-7 in need of an immobaliser for the insurance man. The owner of said car took it to a reputable alarm installer ( N.I.C.E OR NORWICH IN CAR ENTERTAINMENT )
They did a very average install and things seemed rosie.............

29th May 2006

On the way home from a hotel after a weekend of racing. In the outside lane of the A14 J1 the car lost all electrical power and the enigine cut out. I managed to nurse the car into a layby 9 by luck.
The car then re started in the lay by.
A couple of hundred yards down the road again the car die'd again. This time leaving us on the hard shoulder of a bend this time with a boot full a race fuel and methanol. a friend was only 30 mins behind us with a trailer so we ditched his car and put my car on a trailer to the next layby.
we failed to find the fault in the layby so had to transport the car to a girlfriends parents house in Rushden. After a while we narrowed the fault down to the immobaliser. 1 circuit had gone open circuit causing the egi and circuit opening realy to open.
I managed to remove the unit and get the car home.

i delivered the faulty unit to NICE on 3rd June. The shop counter worker/owner was less than helpfull and was very arogant.
he then sent the unit off for inspection........ After numerous calls i have no answer from these people and i am quite frankly sick of it now.........

i will reiterate this name

NORWICH IN CAR ENTERTAINMENT.

Please keep us posted Scott as this develops. I have dealt with Andrew for many years, he's no more than an aquaintence, but he has a well established business in Norwich and relies upon good word of mouth. If this doesn't move forwards the way you would expect, please PM me and let me know.
You could always contact the manufacturer and see if they'll test the product for you.

I have to add I had them fit a stereo in my subaru and wasn't really impressed with the way they refitted the rear seats, panelling and the carpets .. it was all bunched up and introduced a number of rattles.

But that was over 5 years ago.
