I would like to thank Gary for sorting out my red garden ornament. I now have a new preferred tuner

.
First rate service, and figured out the problem in about 30mins - it had taken me 2 months to not figure it out

.
Thank you mate - you are a star

What was wrong with it in the end?

Failed crank angle sensor - basically it was no longer turning as it should ! - thus was causing a weird firing sequence - to imagine what the engine sounded like - it was like it being turned over both ways at once - if that makes sense

- like a piston slap I suppose.
Luckily no engine damage - now runs a treat.

Am I correct in thinking no damage would have occured anyway as the timing wasn`t out only the electrical firing sequence? Anyway glad you got your car back and running good again.

There seems to have been no damage to the internals - however when it was turning over you could hear it stopping itself as it started - really odd noise, luckily all seems fine. I think the timing was non-existant.
