e36 Team Dynamics wheels (Pro race 1.1 or 1.2)

Post by Stuart »

There's me banging on about even wider front arches.........the sodding car won't fit on the trailer if I keep on :)

Mr Fletcher keenly observed that the spacers that I need to run due to the big brakes, may also only be required due to me using the wrong wheels. Fair point. I guess one way to check whether the wide boy front end is necessary is to try a set of wheels that may clear the brakes therefore running a 50mm narrower track would enable me to use standard wings, not my poverty spec rolled ones.

So, I know our e36 owning numbers are low, but does anyone have a pair of wheels I can try on the car for an hour or so? I guess by the time I have dicked around with them I'd need them for about 48 hours in total. Most of the Kumho guys run the Team Dynamics wheels, hence the reason I asked for them.

I have a pair of standard M3 fronts or light weight rims with slicks, you are wlecome to try either.

Hi Jon

The standard M3 ones won't fit over the brakes, or more specifically, the calipers. I'd love to try the light weight wheels (Compomotives?)

How about we have a go at the event next week, just to save undue sodding around with tyres and wheels?

Thanks. See you there
