Rear shocks - open the boot and bounce on the boot lip to hear knocking

Lots of other issues but thats the first one that comes to mind for me.

Don't think there are too many regular problems other than the bug eye has a rep. for being a bit 'lardy'

Rear shocks become apparent during a bumpy test drive.

Stick your head under the bonnet and blip the throttle, using the throttle body, listen for any knocking being early stages of bearing failure, Logan can describe it better than me :)

Other than that it's regular car stuff. Gearbox synchros, whining knocks, condition of engine & gearbox oil on dipsticks, leaks etc.

Good luck, nice to hear you've seen the light :D
Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!
