im on the lookout for a mk1 gti preferably non sunroof model and any colour ( will also consider a sunroof) im not looking for a basket case but also not looking for a minter (uless its at a price i cant say no to) i have had loads of these in the past and regretably let them all go to other homes
i have searched the usual places like ebay/forums/and local ads but without traveling a million miles no luck yet, anyway if you see one on your travels i would appreciate a pm :thumb:

I just sold my MK1 GTI Trevor you should have said earlier you were thinking about one, mine had a sunroof though but was pretty tidy and all original except some Koni's. Sold mine for

Maybe worth looking at Sciroccos too, but I guess they're similarly rare now. I had an '85 Mk2 GTi with suspension work and did 80k miles in it.

Scirocco had a rust-prone fuel filler neck (maybe the Mk1 Golf too?). Beware of this one, it needs immediate attention cos the rust wrecks the pump, goes right through the filter, wrecks the metering head and the injectors. DAMHIKIJKOK...
