Any of you fine Toyota driving types have access to the Toyota gizmo for reading error codes on a toyota CEL / ECU?.

depending on the age, you usually bridge TE1 and E1 (or similar) and the engine light flashes codes which you look up on a chart

im being a bit vague, i know :) what vehicle and age etc is it? i suspect the new types (guess your wife's MR2) may require an ODBC2 reader

Sorry Ben,

Here is another post that I missed!

^What he said^

Bit more info on vehicle required, and maybe the problem (if there is one), that is if you have not sorted it already.

Glad to be of help Ben. Is what it's all about.
You want me to get a sensor and fit for you. I know the main uk distributor of OE sensors.

I'm going to clean it first and see if that makes a difference, otherwise we'll be talking mate.

Be careful Ben. How are you going to clean it?

Have you considered a universal replacement?

I fitted one to my celica, when running stock ECU, and it worked very well. Send an email to these guys. I do not know how much a MrT OE sensor will be for Jo's model, but

Send them an email, or call them mate. They are good, and honest - if they can not provide the right one they will tell ya.
