Wanted: Aluminium Sheeting

Need about 125 cm x 75 cm sheet of Ally - anyone got some kicking around?

To seal the boot area when I remove rear seats.

Thanks

Duncan,
I use 1mm high grade stainless steel for my heat shields if that is any good. If that is the size you want i can get a bit guillotined for you.

Eddy - This isnt for a heat shield - more of a way to seal the boot area from the main cabin. Not a massive single expanse more of a wide area with two vertical stays that will be used to as extre re-inforcing and will be needed when the seats are replaced in between track days.

If I did go with Carbon Fibre - what thickness would everyone reckon I need?

I can get door card bit for pretty reasonable money but they dont appear to be that thick :?

Yes Duncan,
I understood what you want it for mate. I just thought of stainless as an alternative. The 1mm sheet that i can get is not that heavy. To be honest though i do think that 2mm aluminium is best as it will not drum as much. I can get this in for you if you like. I did a rear seat & sound deadening strip job on an FtoGPX recently and used a special twinwall plastic which worked quite well and weighed very little. I may have enough left.
