This maybe worth looking into a bit sharpish as word on the street is the test is basicly going for a revamp in jan 2010 and will be more difficult . if someone could confirm this it would be appreciated. :driving:

I hope to get it done before the end of the year, and now even more so if you are right about the test getting harder.

Will hopefully have a confimration back for next week for those waiting to hear.

Just been looking at the Silverstone site and found this info on their ARDS testing. Check out the height and weight limits, it could cause a certain person a problem and something to bear in mind Stu :)

It might be worth giving Mallory Park a ring Gerry.
I completed my test there and they are very accommodating and cheaper too as I recall.
Test cars were WRX wagons.

I'm only 3" too tall and 2 stone too heavy!! There is no way that can be right as Matt Neale is 6'5" or thereabouts (or at least I hope that can't be right)

So the licence covers you for 12 months, regardless of when you take it? I reckon the MSA site will confirm what changes there are if you were to ask.... I'll do that tomorrow :)

No need to worry about the written test Bart. Common sense will prevail.

You been on the booze again Mr.S?

The height & weight limits are nothing to do with the licence but more likely the type of car that Silverstone provide for the driving bit. If you look at the pic on the link, it shows an Elise and we all know that in theory, you'll never fit in one.

The the test qualifies you to apply for the licence which runs for 12 months Jan - Dec like the Speed licence. Once you have your ARDS pass, you can get the licence in Jan for 2010.
