Went to my metal supplier for some stainless steel sheet for my heatshields.
They have an offcut of 1.5mm aluminium sheet around 120cm by 45cm. Any good to you at

115 x 50 cm is the size of the hole.

Looks like it will have to be the grey plastic twinwall then mate unless you want to wait for a larger offcut of aluminium.

Doesnt seem too expensive seeing as I would have loads left over (ie half of it) for other stuff.

1mm will be fine i think mate.

Not sure exactly how thick mine is but its gotta be about 1mm

I would prefer a cheaper option to be honest but would need to be thin so that i can leave it in place and still re-install the rears seats - I dont think the twin wall placstic would let me do that.

Ally would be preferred cheapest option

i dunno if this is any help but while i was in watton earlier, just wondering if 'Emerald' were open i found a company who it stated were carbon fibre specialists.
