Silicone block offs

Post by 323ian »

OK i have searched high and low and cant find anything!

Im removing all the re circ pipes from my Skyline to de clutter the engine bay a bit and need to block off a few holes now.
I want to use a piece of silicon hose which has a blocked end if possible so it looks good and can properly seal the end, does anyone know if a product exists please?

Usually use a piece of alloy rod turned down to the appropriate size with a larger shoulder to stop ot dropping through the hole.

If it a dump valve you are blocking off there ought to be some standard ones available?

Cant you just use a normal piece of silicon and then put a bolt in it the other way and then use a jubilee clip to hold it in place ?

You could try SFS in Luton. They fabricate silicone hose kits for cars and will make one-offs to your spec. in whatever colour. Reasonably priced too.

Thanks very much everyone.
I forgot to say that i need two sizes of 40mm ID and 1x 50mm ID so there are no bolts or anything that i can use.

Gerry i will give that SFS a try.
Thanks.
