Oil change, filter and fuel filter carried out 09/09/2015
Those that know me will know that I have car OCD, so you are looking at an exceptionally nice car.
I bought the car from Max at Hurstcars back in March of 2013 (98000km's). I chose it because even though it wasn't perfect it had potential so took it knowing I would need to do a number of jobs. It came with an exhaust that was an ear shattering 106db and the most horrendous paddle clutch (The day I collected it it was snowing and there was ice everywhere!!, suffice to say I drove it
carefully home). The car has been maintained by AP Tuning in Lenwade with parts supplied by AS Performance. Early within ownership was a power run at AP Tuning. All came back healthy, running 273bhp @ 1.0 bar. My sole reason for purchasing the car was to use it for trackdays however it slowly but surely became my daily driver and infact only ever saw one trackday at Snetteron.
This car is seriously fast! Handles brilliantly, open diff on the road and 2nd stage on track and sounds superb. Drives as it should.

Cobra Alarm
General information
The type R standard has
DCCD short ration gearbox, R180 diff, 4 pot calipers front, 2 pot calipers rear. Light weight glass, minimal sound proofing (take that has none that I've seen). Electric windows, Electric folding mirrors.
No spot lights, only covers. Rear wash wipe. Smoked rear windows (glass not film). Red Sti bucket seats.
Central locking.
All mechnicals work as they should.
Changed all fluids within the last 12 months and change oil every 4000 miles or so. I have covered 11,000 miles since owning it.
Fresh clutch fluid, gearbox oil and diff oil within the last 150 miles. Last service 09/09/2015
New HKS filter.
New Plugs.
Check oil, coolant and gearbox oil on a weekly basis. Never needs oil or coolant between services.
Never opened her up until reaching operating temp - do not warm it at idle, only driving.
Holds strong 0.6 bar Oil at temp and 0.2 bar oil at idle.
Falken Ziex 914 Summer tyres have plenty of tread.
Good disks and pads
Exterior
Full professional respray due to some rust I found in the inner rear quarter - replaced quarter.
Interior boot panels sealed with 3m coating to prolong life.
Completely undersealed by Auto-genie.
Car does not look like a 16 year old car, no stone chips,no scratches, no dents, all as it should be.
Arches cut and rolled as much as possible to accomodate my 18inch summer wheels so no tyre rubbing.
Even the aerial mount is perfect.
Interior
Seats are perfect.
Gear gaiter and gear knob perfect.
Dash and interior trim in fantastic condition with only minor marks.
New original mats and boot carpet.
Harness mounting bolts and 4 Point Willians Harness for driver.
Proper JDM Rear Speakers (Can be wired to light up if so inclined)
Japanese tax disk on rear window.
Has a stereo, plays CD's. Aerial not wired.
All intercooler spray buttons are present but the reservior is no longer on car.
All buttons do what they should.
Cat 1 Alarm and central locking.
Uprated black wheel nuts.
What's been done
All four calipers replaced with a godspeed refurbished set, along with new disks and pads.
Replaced centre pipe and rear box with a 'Racebox', this provides a more sensible 96db
Replaced the paddle clutch with an Exedy organic single and at the same time fitted a lightened flywheel provided by AS Performance
Uprated gear linkage including hard mounts again provided by AS Performance.
Uprated the fuel pump to a Walboro 255L.
Fitted a baffled sump, the clubman from AS Performance.
Replaced the VF28 as the original emitted a slight whine on spin down which my OCD wouldn't let me ignore.
Replaced steering rack ends, front droplinks and front ball joints then fully laser aligned. carried out 150 miles ago.
Refreshed Gearbox fitted 150 miles ago (5 months left on the warranty). Gearbox had covered 50,000 miles prior to refresh.
Replaced R180 R4.44 diff 150 miles ago, diff had covered 50,000 miles.
Replaced clutch slave cylinder 150 miles ago.
Fitted complete set of gauges, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure and Boost Gauge.

In my mind I am about 99% complete on this project. If I was continuing I would replace the rear droplinks and associated bushes.
The window rubbers are still original and for my OCD need to be replaced with new.The car for whatever reason didn't
have a coolant tank in the wing so I jury rigged a drinking bottle off my mountain bike, this proved to be rather efficient enabling
me to replace coolant on a regular basis so I've never changed it out ( I planned to make a more permanent system)
Bad bits
Engine Warning Light does not illuminate when ignition turned on. Never seen it light. Full health check when mapping has proved there are no issues.
18inch revolutions could do with a refurb due to minor kerb marks.
The windows have the normal scratches from the mechanism. The passenger window closes slowly when the car is not running, when running is fine.
There is still an occasional grind from the passenger rear. it's the disk catching on the backing plate.
Aircon needs regassing.
Since fitting K-sport pull off wheel, Horn can be intermittent, as I'm such a curteous driver this hasn't caused an issue.
Car is £8500 as she stands. It will come with a spare intercooler kit, powder coating expansion tank and inlet manifold (needs painting)
I do have a comprehensive collection of spares that can also be made available.
