Toyota MR2 Turbo (Rev2)

It's time to sell up as I would like something with a tad more power.

I bought the MR2 12 months ago as a track toy, in that time it has been to various tracks on 7 occasions wihtout incident. The vehicle is road legal and in absolutely superb condition. As I own the car with my father who is a perfectionist all the little niggles that may be acceptable on a 20year old car have been recitfied, the paintwork blemishes have been sorted via a reputable bodyshop, the slightest of blemishes in the Recaro seats has bee recitfied by a specialist, the engine bay tidied and the car maintained by a local MR2 specialist.

Currently the vehicle has just under 94,000 Kilometres on her as we didn't want to play with the dials at all.

The car is road legal although running new Lenso Dr-1 alloys with Yokohama AD08 tyres on the ride is pretty stiff although this can be adjusted with the Gaz fully adjustable coilovers.

The specification is as follows:

1993 Toyota MR2 Turbo
Metallic Grey
94,000km (approx 58.5miles)
HPI Clear (can provide HPI Certificate on request)
Recaro cloth seats (with extendable leg support)
Pro Plus boost guage
Turbo Timer
Apexi style Induction kit (can not verify manufactuer)
C-ONE Original single exit exhaust
GAZ Fully adjustable Suspension
Lenso D1-R Alloys
Yokohama AD08 Tyres all round (good tread remaining)
Short shifter fitted
Drilled/Grooved Discs Front, standard Rear
New EBC Yellow Stuff pads just fitted
Tax til January 2014
MOT until July

On track she is absolutely stunning and handles like a dream and stops on a dime, through the corners she really is on rails, as mentioned earlier in the thread the only reason for sale is I have my eyes on an R32 GT-R or similar so no part exchanges (unless you have a rather spectacular R32 GT-R kicking about) required.

Asking price is

Nice MR2. What sort of power is it running as with 300hp these are mighty quick and can be done with std internals.
Good luck with the sale. From another ex R32 GTR owner, they are awesome cars but get ready to spend alot of money. You have been warned lol.

Skyline tax can be a problem on new parts but on 2nd hand stuff the biggest problem seems to be that there just isn't the volume of parts so the people that do have them can charge whatever they like.

If you're in a rush for something it'll cost you, if you're happy to wait there are bargains to be had (relatively anyway) :)

I had 3 MR2 Turbos and moved from those to an RX7 and then my R32(s), definately a good move in my opinion :D

Edit: Sorry for the completely off topic post - good luck with the sale your MR2 certainly looks like a good one :)
