Gentlemen,
Due to fortunate set of circumstances, I am going to be acquiring a very low mileage (ABOUT 55K) four door silver 2000 V reg 1.25 Fiesta Zetec. (Family owned almost since new)
This has Tesco battle scars and some minor rust, but has a years ticket, good tyres, air con, PAS, ABS, Ford radio, power windows in the front, and even a steering wheel:sifone:
I would want

Shame the cupra's are fly by wire and not cable like the early mk4 20vt's
Or I would have been tempted for a doner
Should sell easy enough though rob

Just out of interest, could you not use the Cupra's ECU in the Golf if you wanted to do a transplant?

To answer my own question (and those of others potentially) it seems that you need an aftermarket ECU for this, so something like a Megasquirt or Emerald............unless anyone knows any different.

you can use the cupra ecu and you can get it defeted so you dont need the clocks and key for imobiliser
the problem is the throttle is electronic (fly by wire) and not a mechanical cable so causes problems, that said you probably can use a mk4 golf throttle body, im not all clued up on 20vt conversions but will hopefully learn soon enough

Link to the Fiesta for sale here.
Cheap wheels and I would do a deal for someone on here.
I'll do an advert for Henry when I can confirm P'heads won't have a fit with me selling three cars at once!

Oh, and Trev's right, if you swap the throttle body over you're back in business, and the AUQ lump has VVT which is supposed to offer a better torque curve etc.

Fiesta sold, sold, sold!

Now the Leon can be advertised properly.
I still really like it, but had my eye caught by an E30 and an old Scirrocco........
