As per Ben's comments, this is (or appears to be) an OK car at nothing special money; very middle of the road. It could be 400hp but far more likely to be 360ish as it's only running a different exhaust and it says nothing of increased boost (other than a controller) Watch for rust on the strut turrets and rear arches

With a ten grand budget I reckon I could find a better one within 24 hours. Comfortably :) If I can, so can you ;)

There are better 33's for that money. Looks at it's steering wheel, very worn for 54K.

If you are seriously in the market for a 33 check out the front strut tops like Stu says and be prepared for big running costs.

To add, as a standard car they're actually not very good ... you need the brake upgrades, suspension tweaks and obviously more power are a must!.

I think, with respect, that is bollocks :)
They are old and heavy but even so, they are (admittedly in my opinion) superb cars in stock form that can be made so much better thanks to their high ceiling for performance mods. Obviously a 400bhp modified one will be 'better' in performance terms than a stock one but there is more to life than warp speed everywhere (says he with 180hp!)
Running costs=true
Go careful=true
Standard car not very good..............tell me that after you've been driving the mk2 solidly for a year and then get back into an R32/33 whatever

As far as Ian's goes, why on Earth would you compare a 16k budget to a 10k one when Ian's commands that premium for condition rather than engineering quality?

You can buy one with a forged fresh rebuild for 10k; I know which one I would prefer and it's 6k cheaper.

Good luck Lee..........drive a few and see what you think.
