bmw 328

Post by Mr Fletcher »

this is not mine and i know nothing of the owner or the car , but i was talking to a guy at brands who was thinking of maybe getting a bmw ,i think he is on the forum ,had a pug which he blew up at cadwell . This maybe of interest as the price is coming down steadily and is getting to be a cheap car as it appears to have a cage .

E36 4dr M3 shell with 328i running gear.

Ideal winter project.

>238bhp at the fly and 206 at the wheels
>4x kumho v70 race tyres

The car is really quick and handles well.

This car was being built for the kumho bmw championship not far away from there rules to be finished.
You could use this car for drifting, track or for the road once made road legal.
There is a log book for this car so could be put back on the road.

No MOT OR TAX.

The car will need a respray as mult colours.

Reason for sale is because i have got to have a operation on my knee which will pt me out for most off next year. Really gutted as i wanted to race in kumho next season. need to sell as i want to put some money by as sick pay is S**t from work.
I have done 1 track day since being built and it went really well.

Car will need to be trailored away. I can drop off any where in uk for a cost.

just depends on things like the make of the coilovers (cheap ebay or kw ) , weld in or bolt in cage ,is the shell rotten? etc and bearing in mind a base 328 car is going to cost you at least

ive just spoke to the bloke and hes not sure what make the coilovers are, they came of his previous road 328. The cage is a weld in chizfab, this means nothing to me but......! the car is an ex drift shell, im pretty sure its this 1,

not sure mate, see if he can send you any pics of the car and detailed ones of the cage but not knowing what the coilovers are is not really a good selling point .iirc the red m3 shell was for sale in scotland so it has had a fare journey to get to dorset. i would pehaps do some homework on the cage manufacturer to see if it is recognised for msa events as this maybe why it is not selling very quick .i'm perhaps now starting to see why the other guy only bid him 1k now ;)

Chizfab are good and I know of Ren through driftworks. A pretty good shell and the cage will be to BDC regs (Check with Chizfab for more info /Kyle 07969 539039 Mention Ren's old M3)

Good spec for the money in my opinion.

Re the '4xE46 M3 discs', I would clarify whether these are actually fitted and with what calipers. They aren't a straight fit and require machining.
