Betty in bits

Post by Stuart »

Yup :seeya:
The deed is done. Betty is being broken with several key bits sold already.
Engine and ECU deposit taken
Brakes sold
Exhaust sold
Full rear bed/diff/driveshafts etc sold
Radiator sold
Orange wheels sold

Ok, that leaves this lot for sale

The shell has been lightened wherever possible and includes stretched front and rear arches. A multipoint cage has been welded and includes door bars and a harness bar :) The wings have been vented, the bonnet too (Good old angle grinder) The sunroof has been plated too. The doors have been lightened as well with everything you don't need stripped out. Polycarbonate windows are in all of the side windows just to save that bit extra. The car weighs in at 1138kgs with a 15 litres of fuel so it's much lighter than standard. Not road legal and no V5 SOLD

I may have the steering wheel from you Stu.
I will just have to clear it with the fun police in the morning when she wakes up to see if we have enough disposable funds.

The flywheel has been sold as has the passenger seat, subframe and various under bonnet bracketry doofers.

Let me know about the wheel Nik as I have someone supposed to be sending payment on another forum, but we all know what that's like :)

Stupid question Stu, but do you still have the drivers seat?

Yes Dan, I do. Unsure as to whether I'll ever sell that as;

a) They are bloody expensive new when you include the side mounts

Dan, ask Mike B about his seats. Nice quality and a very good price.
