Hi all iv started to build a mk3 vr6 golf track car unfortuantly the mrs has kindly instructed me it has to go !!!!!.

It needs a bit of work which i was planning on doing but alas the boss has put a stop to it, it currently runs fine has tax and 10months mot.

Bad points

Possible head gasket prob (not checked it so not sure)
Heater matrix died so iv by passed it.
Plastic water pipe at front of engine leaking.
Small hole in drivers footwell.
Very small rust patch on rear and the metal runner on side skirt has rusted.

Iv started stripping in out and so far fitted 2 x cobra monaco bucket seats on custom sliding mk3 subframes, (drivers also tilts), Schroth 4 point anti submarining harneses drivers and passenger, HKS green mushroom air filter, 280mm drilled discs with ebs green stuff pads.
Last year i spent over 1000 getting it through an mot !! why ! lol but it had new cat, new bushes all round new brake bias valve some welding an other bits and bobs so should be ok for mot`s for a few years yet.

With everything stripped out it really does fly an really suprised me, i honestly cant put a price up as iv no idea how much it`s worth but i will make a nice little track car for someone so im open to offers.

That looks like a lot of fun and a cracking hard core daily driver :) Two things

1) Surely it's worth getting the HG checked once and for all
2) Are you after a straight sale or has the Mrs said that a P/X is OK? ;) Best you pop some kind of price up as per forum rules (Guide price is fine)

Its an awsome little thing to fly around in mate, basically its a case of the car or her, well all sporty 2 door 2 seater etc etc type cars and im not aloud to spend another penny on the golf after she had a browse through my history folder, i could get a hydrocarbon done just to clarify if the HG is or isn`t ok.

As for a part ex mate depend`s on what it would be, i was going to start looking for another scoob but a wagon this time....they do therfore have 4 doors a large boot and are not really that sporty (cough cough lol).

I honestly dont no about price how does
